Bottled Water Factory Case Study

Natural water treatment system for a bottled water factory

Natural minerals preserved
Ultrafiltration membrane racks at the bottled water factory
Reverse osmosis pressure vessels at the bottled water factory

The Challenge

The plant needed natural water that stays close to the source: keep as much of the natural minerals and taste as possible, and do not over-demineralize. Many projects stop at ultrafiltration; reverse osmosis is used with care, since RO strips out too much of the natural minerals. Raw water quality also fluctuates, so the system has to hold stable, compliant treated water across seasonal changes.

Our Solution

Puraxtek designed and built the full treatment line: raw water → disc filter (new) → raw water tank (new) → medium-pressure UV (new) → Phase-2 ultrafiltration → UF water tank → RO feed pump → activated carbon tank → cartridge filter → medium-pressure UV → RO converted to nanofiltration → RO water tank → feed pump → medium-pressure UV (new) → dissolved-air pump (replacement) → ozone buffer tank → filling pump → titanium rod filter → filling machine. Retrofit and layout drawings were prepared independently by our own engineers. Tanks and pipework use food-grade materials throughout — SUS304 and 316L stainless steel — and everything from stainless steel tanks to filter media loading, instrumentation and disinfection systems is completed in-house. All wetted parts are food-grade; interiors are polished to minimize dead zones where dirt can accumulate, with treatment margin allowed for raw water quality fluctuations.

The Result

Units were pressure-tested and flushed before leaving the factory. Later maintenance, such as replacing filter media or cartridges, is straightforward, and full documentation was provided on delivery to keep the treated water stable and compliant — natural minerals and taste preserved for the filling line.
